So I can’t believe ppl are still posting here. Something needs to be done, Maybe a name ban on the said player? Obviously there is something wrong with that said player or else this post wouldn’t gather so much attention.
Are the admins able to do something agains’t a racist, trolling and harrasing player?
Let’s not forget that the player we are talking about also evaded ban.
He was already banned (and the ban expired) for evading. I’d say there’s no particular rule against trolling and there’s a fine line between trolling and harassing and it’s easy to draw the line in front of someone you want banned, but it’s not so easy to codify what counts as going to far. We (all of staff) are discussing this issue to try and figure out what to do.
In the meantime, I have to say that this is not ban appeals and that rule is primarily about not clogging up a ban appeal because offtopic rants can really negatively impact a ban appeal’s success or failure. I think this thread is super important in having the community discuss what is okay and what isn’t when it comes to this issue.
I know it seems super simple and “ban the guy everyone (except one guy, I guess) hates”, but that’s not really how aloha works. So please be patient, but also keep discussing because that certainly helps us decide what aloha should be.
A side note: A surprisingly common occurrence in our community is people coming up to staff and saying “Ban/demote ______ or I will quit.” While we certainly want to make a welcoming environment for players, this sentiment really boils down to “I don’t want to discuss why I think ___ or why ____ should be done, so do what I want or I’m leaving.”
I really really implore people feeling this way to not try and push staff this way. Taking yourself hostage to force our hand is a good way to lose a good amount of respect. Discussion and community involvement are way way way more powerful than threatening us to act.

I gotta say, I haven’t personally encountered Cunt_Slayer, but from the screenshots I’ve seen, it doesn’t seems really fun to play with that kind of person on. He seems to be Toxic and Cancerous overall but he may be a really nice guy if he cuts that bullshit. Nobody knows about that since he doesn’t want us to see that side of him.
If it would rely to me, I would just make it so when he joins the game with this name he can’t talk at all.
There is some names that if you use, you can’t talk, example: Doctor Skank. whenever I use this name, I can’t say a single word, I join the server and I’m muted. That could be an option. I don’t really care about him since he only seems to be on babel and I RARELY play that gamemode for the simple reason that I don’T like it. If he comes to CS_Arena tho, be sure you’ll get A LOT of feedback from me
He was a pretty normal person before he started being racist etc. Though, it won’t take long before he notices the condition for being muted. In fact, he may be reading this as a guest user.
Maybe, still Admins gotta decide something to do about this guy. We can’t rush them since that may not be their #1 priorities. We all have lives outside of the internet. Most of the time we are a COMPLETLY diffrent person on internet then we are in real life.
Can’t blame them for not having issued a ban or a mute yet. They did Temo ban him for a week I think so … I wonder if he was on during that week.
The only thing we can really do about cunt slayer is to just ignore him (the ignore script idea was good). Banning him won’t do any good as Faceless’s and Paracelso were temp RGBD’d but that didn’t stop them from wreaking havoc in aos.
I don’t get your point, why are you sending so many articles to prove that they’re ‘bad people’ in real life? We already assume that because of their actions.
About Chlorox, he doesn’t seem to be a troll at the moment. I was having a pretty good PM conversation with him yesterday and not once did he act immature and trollish. He didn’t pay really any attention when Bean (cunt slayer) was on so kudos to him for that. Maybe he’s changed?
You need to realize that Slayer isn’t really bragging about evading the ban. He’s not stupid. He knows it’s not some amazing feat.
Also, I really don’t get how you’re being less toxic than him sometimes. Sure you might not be saying specific words that people find offensive like the “N” word, but you are still coming here and pointlessly bashing him saying they are quote: “young, immature, unempathetic people who need to grow up” and “that these two guys are probably pretty terrible people in real life”. How is this really furthering the conversation? Lashing back doesn’t make you a better person. How about I find a study that shows how people that can’t control themselves and lash back have anger issues, security problems, are control freaks, and can’t handle the day-to-day things of real life? You know people go to jail for doing “justice” to people that were doing wrong to them? And I agree with Kuunikal, their real lives are separate from their AoS lives. We don’t care if they are in the mafia in real life as long as they act properly in game and don’t hack. As I’ve said before, just PM the admins about this and with more proof privately. You’re continuously feeding him by doing this publicly. I was on the server with him yesterday and he was trying to be toxic and I just complimented him and was nice and he got bored. He tried a few futile last attempts to stir people up by attacking you and a few others, but everyone just ignored him and I continued to be nice to him and then he left. No one wants to talk to a wall for hours.

here’s a simple diagram! according to this, all you have to do remove “Reaction” from the mix, or in other words, all you have to do to avoid the trolls is stonewall them. “No one wants to talk to a wall for hours.” however, something that is most certainly not removing “Reaction”, is reacting to everything the trolls say ingame (“STFU ChloroxWipe”), creating a (perhaps unintentionally) inflammatory thread on the forums, and on that thread, literally calling them losers IRL. I really hate to play the blame game, but in this instance I’d say it’s justified – you are the sole cause of all of this drama. cunt_slayer was just an ordinary troll before this thread popped up.

I’m not sure about you, but everywhere I go on the internet (whether it’s games-related or otherwise), I see people like them. it’s an unavoidable, inevitable part of the internet – trolls will be trolls, and it’s much, much more effort to go around thought-policing everyone than it is to let people ignore the troll on their own. I think you’re starting to forget (or never took into account in the first place) that these trolls are people too. they’re not some eternal shittalk-entities, they’re real people who can change. if they’ve stopped being annoying to everyone, then it’s just one less thing to worry about.
now, all of this isn’t to say that trolls shouldn’t be dealt with. if the staff are around and see someone being obviously obnoxious ingame, we will definitely deal with them via anywhere from muting them to tempbanning them. from the looks of things, though, you seem to want cunt_slayer and ChloroxWipe permanently banned! to that I’m afraid the answer is no. remember that whole “they’re real people” thing? yeah, that. if they’re permanently banned for being obnoxious on our servers, and they change later down the line and become the average friendly player, what are they going to do if they have no idea how to appeal their ban? stay banned forever because of something they did in the past? that’s just cruel.

Guys, I’m not “reacting” to the trolls. I’m providing evidence so that admins can take some sort of reasonable action. It appears they have done little to nothing despite the claims being made and the evidence being provided by members. So you’re all pretty much missing the point here. People who are Black, or Muslim, or gay, or Christian, or educated, or whatever, should not have to be demonized while they play a game by a couple of attention seeking 10 year olds. I mean, that’s why we have mods/admins in the first place.
As Low said though to me… Muffin basically already addressed everything as an admin (he is one) and rationally and you completely blew the whole thing off.
