Your Ace of Spades Tips and Tricks

So, what are some tips/tricks you can give to players that want to get better at the game?

I personally don’t consider myself that good, but I do think I know a few useful tips and I’m sure you guys have some tricks you find yourself doing as well. It can be anything you find that is useful in helping you get more kills.

  1. Utilizing the death screen to see where your killer is either hiding or moving towards.

  2. Predicting, a lot of player movements are really easy to predict. A simple example would be tunnels, you enter into one side they are almost always guaranteed to walk out on the other side. Another example would be if you were killed in a certain area, chances are the killer will still be in that general area, you just have to think where he/she is most likely not looking and find a way to get behind them.

  3. Memorizing, try and memorize hot spots that players will typically be near on a specific map/mode. Also when you are walking around a map, try and memorize hills for example so you can spot a enemy trying to hide a bunker or something along those lines. Of course it doesn’t have to be a very strong detailed memory of what the exact shape is, but a general idea of what it normally would like if it wasn’t disturbed.

I hope this helped someone.

(Feel free to add more tips below)

Know everything going on around you and predicting is also good

this has help me so much! i got 420 kills! thank you!

I spent a month or more trying to make the best set of scopes that suited me. I recommend you do the same.

Some of these may seem obvious

-Sound is extremely important, especially in arena. You can tell if someone is walking up to you, flanking you, or tunneling under you using only sound. It's easy to zone out or overlook it but it's saved me more times than i can count. It's border line esp once you've played enough. I have found so many enemy players in, under, or around our teams spawn using sound it borders ridiculous. You shouldn't be able to hear someone walking 50 blocks away but you can.

-Be everywhere and nowhere. If you're in a shooting match with someone you aren't sure you can kill first then change position and make your opponent fight on your terms. This is especially true with 1vs3s or 1v10s or whatever else. A lot of people play for revenge so always be prepared for that. You can also change your gama settings to get a few more blocks distance in your fog line. I prefer to kill them as they come out of the fog. You're basically out of smgs range and they never see it coming.

-I don't recommend using crouch spamming. If you can get good at it then all the power to you but unless you're francis and have 300 ms you'll be a easy target. Make sure you have cover but go for the stable/accurate shot.

-Use tracers, minimap tracers, the kill list, map, and your field of view to hunt players that threaten your team or just piss you off. If you're going up against a really good player or someone with halfway decent aim don't do it face to face. Hit them from the side and save a few of your team members without putting yourself in a bad situation. If you can do this 10 or 20 times without that player killing you you'll usually get that player to rage quit and your team can once again dominate.

-Practice a lot. You can read all the tricks the community has to offer but each of us develops his or her own tactics with what we're given. Aim, strategy, and coordination come with time and experience.

I concur. music is important. I always listen to blake shelton when i’m headshooting noobs and pros alike.

I hate listening to music when i play. It makes me feel blind.

me too ;D

I love listening to chill/ambient music when playing. Works effectively.
My tips:
-memorize the amount of bullets you have and how many you dispensed. I never look down at the numbers telling how much ammo I have; as for it would distract me. Plus by knowing the amount of ammo I have by calculating in my brain, I can reload just in time so I’m not caught reloading in the midst of a 1v1. It’s a good habit and it happens instinctively for me.
-Never camp. Once I kill a guy, I move. I scramble, make my routes unpredictable. No patterns. Routine gets you killed.
-I never care for sound when playing arena. Never has helped me.

sound is for dorks (really is just way too quiet and boring for me tbh)
I listen to weeb music whenever i play
also stare at your minimap the whole game and you’ll never die

First tip, listen to sounds! I’ve thought for sure it has looked like I’ve had esp on some of my kills because I use sounds so much. It doesn’t even have to be that loud, I keep my volume actually very low and it works.

Second tip, use the tracers on the mini map! If you don’t know what tracers are, they are the bullets people shoot that are shown on the mini map, your teammates and enemies alike. By using tracers you can usually figure out where the next enemy player will come from or if it’s a large group of enemies.

Third tip, crouch spam with smg! Crouch spamming with smg makes it very hard for your enemies to headshot you or even hit you, it does take some time to get good with it though. Also, if you’re a skilled rifle user I would suggest trying to crouch spam with rifle, but add jumps with it, this however is not for new players as it is very hard to pull off.

Fourth and Final tip, work on getting fast reaction speeds! When you have fast reactions you’ll be able to kill close smgs and shotguns in arena with any gun, even rifle. This takes time and practice though, so don’t get frustrated when it doesn’t automatically come to you.

Hope these tips help someone become better!

When I crouch spam it says STICKEY KEYS TURN THEM ON
NOW
OR
DIE
I
SAID
NOW

lol I used to have sticky keys on and it killed me countlessly. It’s easy to disable though. If you’re on windows just spam crouch/shift a lot then it’ll pop a message saying “disable sticky keys here”

Don’t rush and reload.
Just. Don’t.

I do it, it saves my butt

I listen to music I like to pump me up, which I then usually get pretty high on the in-game leaderboard. It also drowns out the really annoying default SMG sound (if you’re playing on push) and makes waiting to respawn feel faster. Not really a tip to do well, but something to enhance game experience.

Also, if you like pushing up to the enemy base, taking time to dig a huge trench across the map is actually very efficient, especially if you get a friend or teammate to help you dig it. Then you have a super fast way to get to the enemy territory and cause mass murder. Try to dig it away from their spawn so they don’t immediately find it and take over the tunnel, reversing the strategy.

If you’re a sneaky camper, grabbing the colour of a tree trunk or high object with ‘E’ and pillaring up behind it is great for when you want to quickly hide in a high area, and enemies usually don’t suspect anything if you do it right. You can also do that for spawncamping on “Swag” on top of the trees behind spawn.

Also, preventing campers is a really good strategy. You could do this by destroying unnecessary objects immediately around your teams spawn, such as the trees in the back of Swag or Icecraft, so people don’t use the strategy above against you.

Being able to predict where enemies are is a very useful skill to have in this game. If you kill an enemy in a tower close to the enemy base, the enemy might just come back to try to get revenge. You can prevent this by crouching and listening for movement and trying to block off all entrances except one – also, make the area grenade proof.

However, if you’re the person who wants revenge on that dirty camper, predict what I said above first. They’re going to probably be waiting for you to come back into the area to try to kill them, so you have to outsmart them. You could grab a teammate and use them for backup, or maybe throw in a grenade through an opening. Even digging/shooting a small hole in the wall to the room the enemy is in and throwing in a grenade could do the trick!

In Hallway or maps with small corridors, this is an excellent guide to being majestic. Using blocks to your advantage is a really good way to play the game. Making multiple block layered walls is a very good way to play push, because when enemies attack your team’s bridges it is stressful if there’s only a thin layer of blocks keeping the entire thing together.

Anyways, those are a few tips I thought I would share, not sure if anyone said those already, but those are my take on them.

TL;DR Don’t suck. Use common sense. Listen to tunes.

Arena-
If there are a few people left on each side, look on the minimap (or open the big map if you feel safe enough) when you hear gunfire (obviously not when you are the one involved in it) and look for disappearing teammates and tracers. Now you know where the enemy is. Unfortunately, it’s completely useless in 1v1s, and you’ll just have to rely on sound there.

yeah, 1v1 I have to use sound.

oh yeah ideal weapon for arena: shotgun=shotfun <3
