PCI Expresscard?

I have a Dell laptop. It has a decent graphics card, but apparently I can hook up an external one and give it the power of a desktop computer, in theory. Anyone know anything about these? Are they good?

I haven tried it but have looked into external graphics for laptops.
Haven’t used a pc laptop in years.
Not sure if this helps:

You would need to remove the one inside the laptop for it to work, since they would conflict assuming they are different models. Even if they are the same models, I don’t think you can SLI/Crossfire it. Mind giving the current make and model?

Integrated Intel graphics, I’m sure of it.

You cant remove Intel intergrated graphics. :frowning:

BTW, these things are a better option: http://www.villageinstruments.com/tiki-index.php?page=ViDock

I assumed that meant a discrete one. External and internal ones don’t necessarily determine how much power it has. I’ve seen laptops with GPU’s that boast more power than ones on typical desktops. I would see what the costs of getting an internal one would be.

Its an i5 CPU with Intel(R) HD Graphics.
