The more familiar you are, the more active you are, and the friendlier you are helps your application get processed.
If no one knows who you are, pretty much no one will be reviewing it and it’ll get auto-declined after however long that takes (3 months now, I don’t remember)
If you’re active and helpful in the irc channel (and ingame!), you are far more likely to get your application processed quickly.
Visibility and not being a troll are probably the most import things in getting your app processed quickly.
As far as getting approved, we check logs, so reporting people and being helpful ingame helps tons. Getting to know the staff here on the forums and in the IRC channel helps a lot too.
To add to that, asking when it will be reviewed WILL NOT HELP. Trust me, I did it the first time because it took 3 months to get a reply. Be patient and helpful is really all there is to it.
