We have already discussed a method to prevent chainstrikes. After the initial 10 kill streak and airstrike the “cost” of kills needed to call in an airstrike will stack by 10, until you return to your tent and reset the airstrike cost. This is the reset AEM was talking about.
So for example if a player was to get ten straight kills and use their airstrike the next one will require 20 kills? Is that what you mean by ‘stacking by 10’? So in total, two airstrikes without returning to ones tent would require 30 kills. If that’s the case then that’s actually a very good solution.
Can’t you just make the respawn timer for if you’re in a squad 30 seconds? (no wave) I thought that was the default for the script anyways. Who cares if someone is mothering if you have half a minute to go find the mother and kill them.
We’re not adding squads to the server. Airstrike, if added, will be in the fashion stated above. How about we talk about which maps people favor? Right now, I think bridge wars and anticbridge would be the best choices to add and maybe assault, but would everyone prefer to have a small map pool or expand it to other maps?
You guys seem to have it under control, I don’t know why you even bother to put up the pretense that the community’s input matters. Just put whatever maps you want in; no point wasting all of our time asking what we want on the server and then just saying no to all the maps we want.
Torch, you are not the only one to have a point of view, don’t you think so ? If there is a thread, it is TO ask what the community and people around are thinking; then we discuss and yes a decision has to be made after all. Nobody is putting up any pretense at all, what people thinks actually matters; but there will always be not happy people, we can’t all have the same thoughts and that’s normal. I also personally tend to less listen someone that doesn’t respect the rules.
I’m wondering, when are you going to play on that server anyway?
If you have your own idea about a server and don’t want to discuss, I’d suggest you to try to open one, that’s not something difficult.
Also, aem said about the maps HE thought it would be nice to play on (he choosed them on what Eddy suggested); can you explain me where is it written that no other maps would be accepted and put on the server ?
@Aem, I agree for bridge wars and anticbridge, maybe not assault at first; or just alternate big maps then little maps (with isleofwar too); also why not about Normandie ? I don’t know if it’s still hosted anywhere
Torch, you are not the only one who was a say you know. I’ve discussed it with other people and most say that it’s a bad idea. As for the maps, I gave my suggestion and asked for input on who wants what. I never said this will be the map pool; I only said what I liked. Next time, I’d advise you to read instead of making senseless posts.

Maybe, I’m just misreading these, but these quotes clearly say to me that other maps besides the ones AEM listed he was in support of wouldn’t be included in the rotation.
“the staff has decided” not the community. Obviously it’s the staff in the end that has to make the final call on what maps get in or not, but compromises can be made to appease everyone. Just like how on arena Top maps, maps that aren’t as popular as others or take a long time get shorter score requirements to please everyone, you can do the same on this server as well. The shorter score requirements on less liked maps means that people that hate the map don’t have to leave and come back hours later, but also the people that love the map still get to play it.
I never even said I had a say at all? It’s not like it’s just me versus everyone else. People in the community other than me have posted here and said they disagreed with the staff consensus on things. (I’m excluded because currnently banished from the pacific islands with no passport. )
Please, read through the thread. Nobody has favored the addition of classicgen and there’s even a post asking to not add it. Again, we have a server dedicated to it, so seeing how it’s always at 0, I think the community agrees that we don’t want it.
As for airstrikes, most people were in favor of it with the changes that would make it harder to get. Squads are so far split, and I think it’s best we don’t add it for now.
Nice idea, I would definitely support that idea but I would rather leave out some maps that are less interesting in my opinion. Classicgen would be much better map if it had structures, one or two underground tunnels, etc.

I’ve played this map several times with more or less players on the server and it seemed a good map for me, if there weren’t any griefers who tried (and sometimes they were successful) destroying the bridge.
Once though, I’ve played this map on Tug of war gamemode, and it was perfect. It seemed to me, like the map was made for this gamemode. It was dynamic, once the blue team already had 5 tents but suddently the odds fought back and it was 4-2 in favor for green team, and players used various of tactics (not only camping near the tents) to win the battles for the tents. The gameplay on this map was more variable than on the ctf gamemode and it didnt require full server to be entertaining to play.
I give this idea full support, except that I would leave out one or two maps for the reason i wrote before.
How about organizing some event (like FSOM) with those classic maps to bring in more players. When I organized the All maps arena event, the server was full, even though only 5-6 players signed up. When we started, soon, more players outside aloha community came to fill up the server.
