Votekicks last only 30 minutes. Did you wait at least 30 minutes to make sure your “ban” is not just a votekick?
Yes, I have waited around 50 minutes. Still banned on all Aloha.pk servers. -
What is your in-game player name? Please include it in the subject of this topic as well.
Owl -
What server were you playing on when you got banned? Reminder: We can only help you with bans that took place on aloha.pk servers.
aloha.pk arena all maps -
Why were you banned? Lying severely decreases your chances of getting unbanned. If your “little brother” got you banned, tell him to make an appeal, or accept responsibility on his behalf.
I’m not sure. I played a few rounds, then was banned. -
Why should you be unbanned?
The Aloha.pk servers are some of the best servers that are still around, and my friends and I like to play together on them. -
When were you banned? Best approximate date and time, please.
Around 4:40 PM US Central time 8/4/2014
Your behavior ingame made it clear to me that you were using a hack to see players through walls.
I should of mentioned that I was in a Skype call with Kurukato87 at the time. He told me his teammates coordinates, which is why I found him so fast. I won’t deny that was kind of a cheap kill because of that.
That is not a cheap kill. That is cheating.
Look I know it was cheap, but I don’t see anything in the rules currently that says that’s cheating. I’m not trying to back talk, I’m just genuinely confused as to why that’s considered cheating in the current set of rules. I’m sorry for what I did that round, but I just got carried away and asked my friend for a hint of his teammates location.
that’s a form of “ghosting,” which is widely thought of as cheating in the first person shooter genre.
we try to avoid rules, but we do expect common sense and no cheating…
since you’re sorry i hope you will be unbanned and won’t do something like that again.
just to clarify, ghosting is when:
a) dead player of team 1 tells team 1 where team 2 is located (only a problem on the arena game mode at the time of this post)
b) player of team 1 tells team 2 where team 1 is located
c) spectator tells team 1 where team 2 is located and vice versa
I’ve been playing LoL lately, so I’m still used to asking for locations of people. Good habit for MOBAs, situationally bad habit for most other game genres. I will try my best to work on that.
You’ve been unbanned.
It’s not really something you have to work on? Just don’t do it.
to clarify even further, this situation is really only a problem on the arena game mode. it’s fair when the dead player reports enemy locations that are known at the time of his death. what’s unfair is when the dead player reports enemy locations that are discovered after the time of his death by rotating through corpses while in the death view.
the (b) and (c) situations i mentioned are no-nos for pretty much all game modes, though.
