Ban appeal - ChefBoyardee

  1. Votekicks last only 30 minutes. Did you wait at least 30 minutes to make sure your “ban” is not just a votekick?
Yes, it’s been a few days.

  2. What is your in-game player name? Please include it in the subject of this topic as well.

ChefBoyardee

  1. What server were you playing on when you got banned? Reminder: We can only help you with bans that took place on aloha.pk servers.

I’m not too sure, I think I had only played CTF, TDM, and possibly Zombies.

  1. Why were you banned? Lying severely decreases your chances of getting unbanned. If your “little brother” got you banned, tell him to make an appeal, or accept responsibility on his behalf.

I was getting tired of being killed by people I couldn’t see through fog that were obviously beyond the distance I could see, so I decided to go look for a “no-fog hack” (yeah, i’m that much of a noob :c). I installed it without initially knowing it had an aimbot in it and went back into the server I was playing on (that time it was pinpoint, and I think it was late EST) then noticed that I had downloaded some sort of hack pack with all kinds of junk in it (obviously including the aimbot), but instead of taking it off, I thought it was funny so I kept playing for a bit then got off, and I had not been banned yet. I went back on the next day (I think maybe it was the next day) onto
(again, I’m not 100% sure) the CTF server without the hacks on, but I guess an admin had been waiting for me, and I had got kicked within the first few minutes of me joining. I then went to play a different aloha server (unsure of which one) then got kicked again, and then tried to rejoin and I got a prompt saying I was banned.

  1. Why should you be unbanned?

I didn’t think I deserved to be unbanned since I tried to cheat to win instead of bringing it up with an admin, so I decided waited a few days before I would come here and see if I could be given a second chance. I am really sorry for hacking, because cheating is wrong and it just ruins everyone’s fun. I should have known better than to fight fire with fire, as it’s much more reasonable to use water instead. I would really just like to come back onto your servers and play legitimately, as they are very fun, and that way I can play with my cousin again.

  1. When were you banned? Best approximate date and time, please.
I’m sorry that I can’t really give an accurate date and time, I believe it was some time on the 7th before noon , or early in the afternoon (EST).

Thank you for reading this appeal, and I hope you decide to give me another chance.

You were permabanned for aimbotting on the 7th. I have contacted the admin who banned you, there is a chance he will be lenient and shorten the ban.

Hello I was the admin who banned you.
I don’t like you, therefore I’m keeping you banned.
You can play on other servers outside aloha, have a good day.

That was who got banned?

…Of course. Who does like me? May I ask why, at the very least? That seems very unfair for someone who has only played on the server a few times.

“I’ve only gone to your store twice, shoplifting both times. Why won’t you unban me from your store?”

I saw you get banned you hacker.

See, but here what doesn’t make any sense at all. I specifically said it there that the second (out of the 2) time I connected I didn’t have anything on, with no intention to put anything on. I was only getting on to play with my cousin. I got banned from a mall once for skateboarding before. They only banned me for a little while. I no longer do it. What makes you think I’m going to hack again? I actually only did it one time, the second I had nothing, so your analogy isn’t very applicable. Haven’t you given other people who’ve done even worse than me second chances? I thought that was the motto around here. Also, I think to give someone a title for doing something, they have to have experience and reputation for doing what they do. You don’t call someone who knows how to use a microwave a cook, do you?

Perhaps I was misinformed, I was told you were hacking multiple times over multiple sessions, thus leading me to believe you had come back frequently and committed the same violation. I’ll assume I was misinformed, and instead consider this case based on your ban appeal alone.

Reading over your ban appeal, here’s what I imagine had happened:

  1. You played with hacks one day, and an admin saw you. However, we did not gather sufficient evidence and decided not to ban you just yet. However, we placed a tracer of sorts on you, so we’d be able to see if you got back on.
  2. The next day, you got into our servers and our admins saw the tracer. We got on to observe you, this time being pretty sure you were hacking. We then banned you on that server.
  3. You immediately joined another aloha server. Since bans do not synchronize across servers for a few minutes, the “banned” status on the original server was not yet broadcasted to the other servers. After a minute or so, the update happened, and you were then banned from all servers.

That is to say, everything after the first ban was automated, and you did the right thing in coming here to appeal it.
Here’s a tip: the question we REALLY want you to answer is how can we be sure that you will never hack ever again? Apparently, SnIpEr wasn’t too impressed by your ban appeal (I don’t know why, ask him).

As an aside, I’m somewhat confused by this line:

Wait what? Didn’t you come here because you think you deserve an unban?

In any case, I’ll talk it over with the admin and see what his story here is (if he doesn’t read this and respond accordingly). I want us all to see both sides of the story before we make any calls.

It confuses me to think appealers deserve a second chance after they admit to using aimbot.
Reki might have misunderstood what I said back in the IRC but Its not far from the truth, I had to ask a fellow admin for logs since you only play while I sleep (ty mutbom).
On those logs I see you joining afew servers and asking why you couldn’t run 1.0, saying that you had to play this “inferior” version instead and that you were pissed about it. you played for about 20 minutes and then you wen’t to another server, and there you had an idea: “now that I can’t play 1.0 why not cheat in this inferior version”, so you went to google and got your hack, then you went back into the server and you turned everything that there was to turn on (multiple bullets, esp, aimbot, everything), and you used it, you wen’t around on tdm island maps, with your finger on the E button, not letting it go and snapping left and right non stop, allowing you to get 30 kills in 5 minutes, in the end of the match someone got surprised with so much skill and you went like “lol aimbot”.
the next day you cheated again, bad for you I was online, when I wen’t ingame you were doing the same thing, filling up the killfeed like a cheater, so I togglekill’ed you to avoid further damage to the server while I was typing out the ban.
After I banned you you joined another server, not loosing any time you were already jumping to another aloha server with your hacks ready, bad for you again, I was there again, so I kicked you untill you started using such hack.
So the whole story is pretty much that.

TL;DR You got pissed you couldn’t run 1.0 even tho you had payed for it so you decided to ruin this game.

It is good that you confessed to using the hacks, but under which circumstances and for what reason you used it, doesn’t seem truthfull to me, you’re more like, “I hacked k? now gimme second chance”.

I said that I don’t like you because of the story I said above, I think aloha will be much better without you and that is why Im keeping you banned.

I’m feeling good today, so ima give you a second chance to try to change my mind.

Fair enough. Although it may sound stupid, I forgot that I had put them on the second day, it was not intentional for me to lie about that. I did not hack because I wanted to ruin the game, however it seem that way. I had put them on because I was sick of getting killed outside of the fog line on pinpoint by people I couldn’t see, so I got what I thought was a fog hack that had all kinds of other mods with it I didn’t notice until I got in the game. The “lol aimbot” was me laughing at how I thought the aimbot was funny, cause I never saw one before. I don’t want to hack anymore, because not only is it wrong, but it’s just boring cause it give no incentive to play the game at all, so I’ve deleted it. I haven’t really played this much, so I feel like I’ll really be missing out on what AoS 0.75 has to offer with out the aloha servers. But with that, I can see that you don’t have a reason to trust me, so if you decide to keep me banned, I understand. I only hope you decide to change your mind. Sorry.

To be honest it sounds like that you played against people of some varied skill. That made you mad that they kept killing you, but you know I could guarantee that they didn’t have “no-fog hacks” to do it.

When pressured like this again, especially on PinPoint, how can we be sure you won’t crack and re-install said mod’s of which you now have some experience in using? You sound sincere but you also sound like a liability to me.

Just my two cents.

I don’t think it’s any fun. Even if you play with the aimbot turned off, it’s boring knowing where everyone is at, there’s no challenge or incentive to play at all. In short, I don’t even want to hack anymore. That’s why I deleted it. I just want to play the game and have fun doing so.

Not that this is relevant, but do you remember the player names of which you were playing with at the time, that made you want to use this sort of hack?

You seem to be sincere about the whole “hack is bad” so I’ve reduced your ban to 2 weeks from since the day you were banned so you have 8 days left.
You have one week to think (again) about what you did and to get to know BnS and learn to love it, when you get back into aloha I wanna see a changed man that is no longer mad about not being able to play 1.0.
Also, REMOVE IT, DON’T JUST SEND IT TO THE TRASH CAN, REMOVE IT DELETE IT FORGET IT, the only way you can do fogshots is by practicing, not aimbotting.
