Pro: cool small map where you can use every weapon
Cons: “campingroom” for blue over their base, sometimes long rounds (because of camping)

Pros: nice and well known map at all, popular
Con: in my opinion none

prisonbreak
Pro: nice idea
Cons: camping in green building, too open, only a few chances to hide, sometimes camping in buildings

rigreloaded
Pro: nice map and many ways you can go
Con: it is easier for blue (they can camp at the stairs and kill green there)

volcano
Pro: a bit difficult and nice atmosphere
Cons: too much holes, bad covers, it is annying to jump all the time

ok im tired of hearing people say town arena is too big…

pros: it plays well for every gun type, it is a team based map(meaning if you try to be trigger happy run and gun everything u will get picked off easy, its a pretty map lol, every house and cornfield is connected by the cata combs(tunnels) large open areas for snipers to have fun, mid range combat for smgs, close corners combat for shotguns. Quick games

cons: it has camping areas(but what arena doesn’t have camping places), I green side is not balanced unless you know what you are doing, sometimes games can run a bit long due to campers.

give this map a chance before you criticize it. Everytime I play this map I hear nothing but good comments(in game) so if you are crying about it being too big maybe you need to just check your skills.

Sherwood forest is a huge map It was the first map I created. It took me like 3 days to make with mojo and another person i forgot it was a couple years ago.

pros: good for every gun type, Scenic map

cons: too many camping areas, too big, matches take forever most of the time. Just not a good map for arena all together.

I created these two maps and these are my honest opinions

I’d like to rate some maps that havent’t been mentioned here now:
Avacid

pros: plays different than other maps
cons: not enough cover, a lot of people fall into the water because they lag or are not carefull enough

pros: simple
cons: I like it, but some people find it a bit boring.

cons: most people don’t get this map and therefore hate it, camping

pros: Different ways and strategies, overall very nice to play
cons: Usually long rounds, sometimes people get stuck in holes of the hedge near the green spawn (easy to fix)

cons: the green team is disadvantaged as they only have two ways to go in the beginning, one spot the jump out of the arena (easy to fix)

cons: Needs more cover at some places (on top or under the trains)

pros: good map for rifle, overall cool looking map
cons: Too big, camping spots (some parts of the map should be made inaccessable)

Lost Motel some of these map look very interesting it would be great if they were added on the all map server.
avbeige is more of a beta.
I could fix avacid by separating the zone but it might feel like a different map.

Avbeige is actually my favorite map from you. It would be nice to see it on the arena server again.

abandoned stronghold
Pros: Open and quick to learn

Cons: No real qualms about it.

Plays like: Quick map, plays in under two minutes. Should be a 15 round map.

Rating: 7/10

aboardage
Pros: Looks great, different viable strategies for players

Cons: Prone to boring camp outs, especially in below the deck on the blue side. Prone to grenade spam from green in the beginning

Playslike: Medium-slow paced

Rating: 7/10

alamoarena
Pros: nice open map, good motif

Cons: green has a strong map advantage. Various spawn points are mixed

Playslike: green usually crushes blue as green can keep blue pinned in spawn areas

Rating: 4/10

alcatrazarena

Pros: Very open, great for rifles and OK for smgs. Symmetrical

Cons: Newer players will have difficulties with this map, as it is very open and prone to sniper tactics

Playslike: generator2, facingworlds, ambassyarena. Typical sniping map

Rating: 8/10

ambassyarena

Pros: Open and good for group tactics

Cons: All the one block barriers slow down the map considerable

Plays like: generator2, alcatrazarena, facingworlds

Rating: 6/10

Pros: close quarters with time to set up for both teams

Cons: Green as a slight map advantage due to rushing along the top and sniping from the bridge into the main exit of the blue building

Plays like: alamoarena with less annoying spawnpoints

Pros: very close quarters and faced paced. fun to rampage on

Cons: blue has a strong map advantage due to the ability to nade greens spawn in the beginning of the map. easier for blue to get onto the second level

Plays like: abandonedstronghold, avsmallfortress

Rating: 6/10

Pros: small, quick action and symmetrical

Cons: Too easy to nade spam for both sides.

Playslike: avseafort, avsmallfortress

Pros: close quarters, fast action and lots of routes

Cons: blue has a STRONG map advantage due to the ability to get to choke points faster and pin green down. The advantage is smaller than before the updated map.

Plays like: Fast, close quarter fighting. Similar to avstorage.

Pros: close and fast paced

Cons: Blue has a strong map advantage due to the sniping spot on the second floor, the boring camping spot and can hold the middle room easier.

Playslike: avsmallfortress

Rating: 6/10

Pros: Very vibrant and fun to look around. Linear and direct.

Cons: Green has a good map advantage as they start with the high ground. Blue typically will camp in the buildings and under the waterfall

Playslike: a bigger indiaarena or a less linear casinoarena

Pros: looks awesome! great concept.

Cons: Green has a STRONG map advantage due to starting above blues spawn with almost a direct view of it. Can be great blue had a better spawn.

Pros: looks awesome! fun to look at the stuff. Has my name on it for some reason :stuck_out_tongue:

Cons: If more people knew of the tunnels on the green side, there would be more camping. Prone to camping in houses

Playslike: sniping/ camping map. Fun is there is cooridination on the teams

chinatown

Pros: Very beautiful map, very cool design.

Cons: Camping in the pagoda/ glitching from the green spawn.

csitaly

Pros: good map with direct routes. good map for team work

Cons: Green has a good map advantage due to the roof top camping spot and being able to come into the market area first from two routes. Usually, blue ends up camping their spawn location.

facingworldsarena

Pros: Open and direct.

Cons: camping inside the bases, hard for new players to enjoy because of the sniping tactics

Playslike: generator2, alcatrazarena

I really like planeassault, avsides, indiarena, DEFINATELY AVSTORAGE! & kinda avseafort (maybe avsmallfortress). I like the maps by AvUKY a lot! Thanks

Maps I think should be cut from arena:

beaulieuarena - too large, made for infilration
deepspace - impossible to find anyone on (with less than five people on each team)
sherwoodforest - too large
spacestationarena - green is forced to camp in their spawn
officewars - group camp map, blue can glitch down
lostvalleyarena - too large, made for infiltration, way too many hiding spots
prison - impossible to break blue camping tower
blueresort- incredibly green sided

The maps I don’t really enjoy playing are

LostValley - To big, People that camp are a pain
LostValleyV2 - Same as LostValley just has trees everywhere that makes it impossible to snipe enemy players in the forest
Ambassy - That map really annoys me, It is huge, You get lost unless you look at the map
Casino - Even though its kinda fun, I feel sorry for the blue team, There stuck down the bottom in plain sight

I actually like top 10 better, but more maps are better as well. More maps in Counter-Strikes Maps?

Can i still rate the top 25 maps or it won’t have any meaning?
Now, when i saw the maps, i think i can judge them from a different point of view, but i am still asking if it will have any impact.

I can’t remember the map’s name, but it has two small buildings and a small courtyard in the middle. Nades prioritized after the round starts.

This is a pretty good idea should be revived

Someone should write an ingame script where you can do /ratemap (Number from 1-5) to leave a rating for how you feel about the map. This can go to a status page of all the maps and their global rating (yay statistics) this rating can also be changed anytime you feel like voting again. You would have to be logged in to vote.

Maybe make it, so that there is a “raffle” system for maps where the average rating is calculated for each map:

Joe voted 2
Sam voted 5
Jill voted 4
Sean voted 3

Average: 3.5

And then this number would go into a “raffle” to select a map each time the previous one ends. This way all the “5.0” rated maps will get selected often and the players will be happy. Another stipulation would be that maps with no votes or votes less than 10 total votes on them (when they’re new) would have a neutral rating of 3.0 until they reached the quota of minimum votes.

With this rating system. A map that is voted at a 5.0 rating should be loaded 5 times per server map “rotation”. A map with a 1.0 rating should only be loaded once.
