[o] #19 [CLAN] Snowky 11/17 5:16PM

Bastard was real sneaky, as you will see, but fell to ESP traps. (arenacs)
Even had a nasty habit of making false hackusations to divert attention from him.

Sad to see someone who was respected by the majority of the players on cs maps yesterday turn out to actually be a hacker…
And in that clan, a respected and trusted clan full of amazing players.

Well, i warned a couple of times he had esp lol
The first time i see he usinq is cuz he wanted to rekt me just to call me noob
now i think he used to rekt everyone
(Fallen se você estiver lendo isso, avisa pro teu clan ai)

ok i analyze…bad videos… we can’t see esp/aimbot/nr or other thing…he is clearly play like others players… orkmat you are saying that becuz u hate my clan plz don’t put the feels ahead of work xD

The evidence seems circumstantial.

Vid1 @ 0:48: I don’t see how you can prove was just pretending. Snowky spotted hitlerz at the bottom-left part of the screen, and then he turned towards him afterward.
Vid2 @ 0:23: Snowky was facing the wrong way upon exiting the vent. Also, bullet trails were visible in the minimap.
Vid3 @ 0:30: If you look at the left side of the screen, you can see a bit of the player. This would be even more evident if you played in widescreen.

Vid1-How to tell he was just pretending-1.The first look, which he decided to ignore as he couldn’t find a glimpse of my guy to make his
“discovery” look legit, however he follows up by a second look as he is heading to the sewers, right in the place he just checked, in case my guy decides to move. He then returns, feigning a check of the upstairs again (despite no sound, tracers, etc.). Note how as he goes from the tunnel, his crosshairs are right on the hole, as though he somehow “knows” that there is nowhere else for an enemy to be. He proceeds to places his crosshairs far from the edge of the tunnel entrance as he advances not towards the entrance, but towards the hole, which would leave him woefully unprepared if someone were to come from the tunnel, but conveniently has my guy in his sights. This doesn’t correlate with his previous “careful” nature seen earlier in the video & in other videos.

Vid2-I’ll admit this isn’t that great for evidence, but the “wrong direction” look is probably a feint, and if he was any good at using tracers, he wouldn’t have pulled that stunt in vid1.

Vid3-When Snowky leaves the tunnel, he directs his crosshairs right where my guy is & deciding not to check anywhere else at all, despite his actions in vid1, where he doesn’t even stumble at the spot, just pushing his crosshair in a wide arc around, faking checks. Also, if he really did spot the guy at 0:30, why did he not beeline for him?

When there is a guy right in front of Snowky, but hidden, he gives no fucks to his fake checks, focusing his crosshair on them in case they pop up or near them to “spot” them.

He was probably checking his back to make sure that nobody ambushes him. His crosshair just happened to land on hitlerz. He turned around afterwards to split up.

I’m not saying that he saw him beforehand. Snowky spotted him in his peripheral vision as he finished crossing the overpass. This would be more obvious if the recording was made in wide screen. Afterwards, he immediately shot him.

  1. Even if his going back was “legit” (no sound, tracers which he purportedly used in vid2) How do you explain his crosshairs not searching around the upstairs or pointing at the Greenspawn entrance, as someone checking for ambushes would, instead pointing at a wall and staying there, which, as he moved forward, “incidentally” put the esp trap right in his FOV.

  2. Even if Snowky saw him whilst moving up the overpass, that doesn’t explain the unusual crosshair focus on him, which started before he even left the tunnel leading to the overpass.

  1. He didn’t need to “fake” his first time looking into the spawn (0:25). If he just jumped down into the spawn and killed hitlerz, it wouldn’t have been suspicious. Later on, he turned quickly the first time around to check for a possible ambush. After exiting the tunnel, he split up to make the search for the (last?) player faster.

  2. I didn’t see him focusing at all. It looks like his crosshair just happened to go over that player as he was strafing. Also, I rewatched the video. At 0:18, he was checking under the bridge when nobody was there. It seems like he was being cautious. If he had ESP, he wouldn’t even bother looking under the bridge, unless he was just “faking” it.

It seems like you presented “good” evidence while disposing bad evidence. You’re framing the evidence you presented under the premise that he’s been “faking” it all along in order to avoid detection. It’s possible that I could hop in a server, record a player with good game sense, and present it as if s/he was simply faking ESP. I’ve described some very possible scenarios, and I’m sticking by them. I should note that I haven’t played with Snowky at all. I don’t have any authority, but given the choice, I’d rather not ban him.

His movements near hidden players & near nobody at all just don’t add up. If anything, his “game sense” skills don’t seem to be in effect when there is the chance that a hidden player could pop up on him. Notice how his crosshair placement turns absurdly bad for his careful nature, (but conveniently near hidden players) when there is someone nearby who is hidden and could jump out. As for the guy’s first look into the green spawn hole, I can tell you that hardly anyone ever checks over there in arena, seasoned and noob player alike. He probably decided that it WAS too suspicious to go for the kill, and played that turnaround stunt. When he checked under the bridge, it was ridiculously brief to be thorough, just like all his other “checks” and he was not in the vicinity of a hidden player who could potentially harm him.

You are taking his as some sort of Jo schmo hacker who just goes for the kill, this is a closet hacker if I have ever seen one. He supplies all the bad evidence willingly, so someone has to sift through all his nonsense for the real evidence.

While Apoc could have recorded / not edited out the parts outside of these select instances, let’s not start pointing fingers at eachother.

#1 @ 0:40, him turning around like that could simply be seen as him thinking the enemy is going the same direction as him and his teammate, so he turns around. I do that a lot to avoid unnecessarily drawn-out matches, among other things. Also, him walking out of the tunnel put him at just the right angle to see the green player better than his previous pass.

#3 @ 0:30, while it looks suspicious, let’s take into account the chance that he could have recalled from memory of previous matches that people like to camp there and ambush people. You also may remember him being very cautious at the exact same place in #1 0:20

If there were to be more evidence showing extremely suspicious circumstances, let’s also, in advance, take into account the fact that we’ve all had those moments where we turn 180° and got a headshot because of tracers or hit indicators, in the middle of a fight. No, the average joe may not have the necessary skill to do that on demand, but sometimes we have luck. Keep in mind, I’m not saying “he’s simply a lucky player and that’s that,” but we can’t start assuming that instances of chance or displays of greater-than-average skill are definite signs of cheating, either.

In my opinion, the clips are short and indeterminant, and the best course of action would be to post longer clips of evidence, so we can gauge how he acts overall.

also..

a better* esp trap would be this, instead of a place where people spawn and go AFK: (de_aztec, same map as #1 & #3)

*: still not perfect, though

I personally was convinced that he was using ESP; I was playing as Konfucius during the first clip and he definitely seemed to only have that gamer sense when it was convenient. Then again, I did attempt to hide in spawn for an ESP trap and he didn’t seem to know I was there and I had been able to flank him several times. He still had that hacker mentality and I’m still wary of him.

Besides, the evidence definitely is circumstantial. An admin shouldn’t ban someone unless they are near certain.

I suppose it was out of line for me to say something like that. Sorry.

For the record, I don’t see anything suspicious in the first two videos. The trap attempt in the third was not a very good one… especially if it is a known camping spot like someone was saying.

I’m not familiar enough with arena maps to answer this question: when he is running around looking for players, is he checking everywhere? Is he going out of his way to check places where there are no enemy players (because he shouldn’t know their locations), or is he running through as quickly as possible, only looking side to side, to get to where the enemy is?

Yup. The only time I saw him “go out of his way” was in the first video, when he decided to pop his head right over the hole where the ESP trap was, a place where nobody ever went into or looked into for the entirety of the map, other than my ESP trap for that one round & the ESPer. The same is true for the spot in video 3. Unfortunately, I expected the ESP trap evidence to be enough, & deleted the rest to save space.

I viewed all clips and could not find anything to issue an ban to against him. I suspicious him for awhile, and recorded him many times, but not enough evidence on my end. In my experience, either he has very nice speaker so that he can hear to foot steps from other players or he has a lot experience with arenacs.

Thanks

Nathan

mfw gamesense is in an obvious esp trap

That “gamesense” video you presented is very suspicious, especially where you said, 20-30.
Not sure what to make of it but both apoc and paratrooper make good cases.
Best thing is to leave the decision in the hands of the people with authority, the admins.

There were certainly some points in the video that raises eyebrows. 0:22 is suspicious but, like you said in the video, that may just be him strafing. Then again, he seems to be cautious, checking spots when nobody’s there. I’m holding my judgement for now, but I’ll have to make recordings myself when I get a chance.

Also, this is an open forum, so Snowky can see this. If anybody could get a hold of him, it would be nice for him to speak up.
