New Server suggestion? - Aloha islands CTF/TDM!

Alright so I’m thinking about aloha having a new server called Aloha islands. It would basically host island-type maps i.e:island,rocketisland,isleofwar,colloseum and a few others. What do you guys think about this? The mode could be TDM or CTF, both would suit the server…

p.s im not sure if ive posted this already before… cant seem to find one though.

collosuem
pinpoint2
standoff
hillside

I would totally love to play on this since i love island maps. I really hope this will be the next popular ace of spades server out there. Please host.

I mostly play Babel, but I’m down with island-type maps.
I usually pop into TDM or CTF servers whenever the Babel server’s full, so I’d visit from time to time.
Long as the maps aren’t too dark, anyway. The darker, monochromatic maps tend to feel weird on my eyes, but that’s just me.

i’m liking the idea. is there enough demand for such a server?

some thoughts off the top of my head:

any other maps? what about JoJoe’s maps? should pinpoint be on the rotation?

should the 1ctf 24/7 pinpoint server be converted into this or is that out of the question?

I definitely like the idea of an islands server! Actually I think any “theme” server with similar maps on rotation sounds cool. To put my say in, I think that Pinpoint should remain its own server, it’s one of those quintessential “Aloha” servers to me.

sounds like ALOHA5-O to me, (Hawaii 5 O get it? ) Hawaii has 137 freakin islands so somebody better start building

lol izzy, changing pinpoint to this was my original idea:P but then when we discussed it on #aloha, i dont want to convert pinpoint to this. pinpoint is already popular enough so yea… And as long as the server supporsts island maps well then sure, why not? And i dont think pinpoint needs to be added to this f it has its own server… even though that was my idea again too…

btw, i want this server to be out becuase… well island maps tend to be small. and i like small maps :smiley:

I don’t think you should remove Pinpoint, keep pinpoint because it is one of Aloha’s most popular servers. I think you should remove dedust 2 or classicgen or some other unpopular server because the island server sound really cool to me.

I think Island TDM would be nice. Its one of the most popular maps put there too. So I’d defiantly want this implemented. My only concern would be watercampers but that could be easily fixed with the Waterdamage script we have on Pinpoint.

EDIT: I think there should be more admins on the Islands server. There has been 2 suspicious people who appear to be hacking and lots of griefers and teamkillers.
