I had 2 villagers in my shop and they disappeared. Now, they cannot open gate doors. I know they cannot. Either they’re glitching out or despawning…or someone is killing them. Now, people know they were there. Anyone know what happened?

Actually, thats 2
:stuck_out_tongue:

No herobrine isn’t real -.-’

I bet it was those squids… they are weird fishies…

That happened to me once. It’s usually either they jumped out of the fences (usually there is a block they can jump off of and go on top of it and go away) or zombies spawned and killed them (there will always be some dark spot in there).

Take a look in my shop. I’m guessing the suffocated

I think I might have found out how you’re villager died. OSmebody accidently left the door open, a baby zombie jumped up the counter and made the villagers into zombies, and then they probably despawned.

So who left the doors open…

Oops

In the future, just leave pressure plates on the inside of your shop so the doors close automatically, when customers leave.

(I was kidding btw)

There’s an assortment of ways this could have happened, and I don’t think it is possible to blame any one person or anything. If you want them secure make sure mobs cannot get to them; this can be done by placing them behind a checkout counter for example.

I usually put a single sand block in front of the door to prevent any mobs from going in or out regardless of them being villagers.

Numerous ways this probably happened. Froes right.

Another thing you can do is have a 2 (I think its 2) block drop, then fillup the holes with string and place carpets on top. No doors necessary. Not too sure if this still works tho.

Carpet is a great way of keeping mobs out I find. Many players classified villagers as “dumb”, but the most likely reason for this is probably glitching into blocks when the chunks were unloaded and then reloaded.
