How to range ban IP?

I run a server and this guy keeps crashing it, admitting to doing so and bragging about it in chat before it goes down, I know there is a way (or I’ve heard) that you can ban any IP in a certain range to prevent the user from just changing their IP.
I would really know how to do this because he usually crashes it right as the server starts to get past 20 players.

pls he’s done it twice last 2 days alone.

I can only help you with the rangeban, usually this is used when there is a certain range of similarity between his IP (if he were banned and return with a similar IP) and if the first two groups in his IP are the same (otherwise , you could be banning innocent players)for example:

111.111.222.222
111,111,333,333

this could help you:

thank you he is now ban

what’s your server IP for Aos? i might go on and play on it sometime

could you give us some crash reports? That would be awesome!

Not sure where to find crash reports? :stuck_out_tongue:

@Asian Guy aos://3843762757:32887

I didn’t find crash reports in PySnip directory

There should be a file named “logs.txt” or similar in the folder.

Crashes (especially since it happens seemingly after only 20 players are in the server) could mean memory issues, or your connection isn’t large enough for that many players. Although unless something otherwise is said in the logs?

Notices of packet loss, or memory warnings could be a clue here.

The guy always says he is taking downserver, then it crashes. I dont think its a coincidence
