Its ok, I don’t mind playing at 11pm if that means allowing the Australians to play at 8am.
Be glad they don’t want the match to be later to let the Australians sleep longer.

Doing a time that gets everyone is difficult. I can’t make it any earlier or Australia has to be up before 8am, any later and Europe is into well after midnight.
I think next time I’ll suggest we just screw over the Americans (and myself), and make it like 8am here on the west coast. That makes it the early afternoon for Europe and the evening for Australia (or a little past midnight on the east side). I wish I could just show up at 1am local time for me, but that wouldn’t help anyone :\
Also, I need a definite yes or no on whether you can make the event. You’re welcome to try and get in the day of, but if we’re full, people on the list get priority, and anyone not gets kicked.
Alternatively I can list you on the reserve players (I haven’t made this list yet). This is for free spots that open the day of for people who didn’t sign up in time.
It’s understandable if the day of something comes up; it’s not like we’re tracking who didn’t show up when they said they would. That said, only claim a spot if you’re fairly certain you can make the event. Thanks.

Ei8htx. what would be the chances of running 2 SOMs one on the first Saturday and one on the last and one will be U.S Friendly and the other will be Europe Friendly
The time in the calendar I linked has not changed. I merely screwed up writing 10pm GMT when I listed the event as in Greenwich, England. However, not even Greenwich is on GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) during the summer. It’s at 3pm PST, thus 6PM on the east coast.
Again, the calendar time has not changed, I only fixed the typo. If anyone is uncertain about when the event starts, click the world times link at the top of the thread and it’ll both list it at your location, and list 100+ cities with their times worldwide.
There’s been some discussion of this amongst the staff. One idea was to host the event twice on the same day, perhaps offset by 8 or 12 hours. This might be plausible, however, ideally we would want to guarantee both events are filled.
It’s really quite difficult to find a good time. Always 1 region will have it good, and the other 2 will get screwed. This time the US has it decent, while Europe has it late, and Australia early. Another option would be to have it at 8am on the US West Coast, which is 5pm in Berlin, but 1am in Sydney. Given the size of the Atlantic, there’s no good time that benefits Australia strongly and includes both the US and Europe with even feasible times.
