For now I’ve voted No. Because these two important points haven’t been clarified;
Incentive
What incentive do players have? If there is a leaderboard posted after every game showing the best players for kills/ratio/games won/etc. then maybe that would be enough. At least then players would join in order to prove they are the best, to get their name on the scoreboard - which provides more motivation than having a tournament ‘just for fun’.
And how would it be shown, in a forum post? Why not configure the aloha.pk homepage to show the leaderboard of the last tournament? That would certainly raise peoples’ incentive.

This could be quite a problem. Unless moderately well-known YouTubers get some inspiration to join a tournament, I can’t see small YT’rs bringing many people to BnS. And it seems very unlikely for that to happen.
I’m just not convinced that posting on the BnS forums, here, and Reddit would attract enough. More than half of the current playerbase seem speak Spanish or Portuguese or whatever inferior language anyway.
Don’t get me wrong, I would love to kill all you useless cunts and raise to the top. But I’m also a realist. And I can’t see it being that successful unless the whole administration of Aloha (and maybe even BnS developers themselves) get together and make things work smoothly. But I could be wrong.
My suggestion is to place two game modes, one for players who like to kill and another for those who like to build.
If you like to kill, it can be a FFA (free for all) game mode, but the server must be configured with a target, for example, reach 1000 kills by a single person, and record logs by login. http://aloha.pk/index.php?topic=9852.0
But if you like to build, you should put another custom build only server.
In response to all these new comments and ideas, I am currently narrowing down some of the ideas and stuff. For one, this tournament is going to be team-based. I liked TheRealStrikerJannersYT idea of doing a checkpoint game mode. Although, I am going to continue to explore my options. I also liked KungFuChicken’s points of a leaderboard system. I believe people should get recognition for most kills, checkpoints captured, etc. As of now, I will be working on the basics and whatnot, but I still need help. I need to figure out how to make servers private, or make my own. I’m assuming I would need some kind of Moderator help in order to complete certain tasks. With that being said, I will continue to work on stuff and organize things. But until now, all this is simply just an idea.
