I used to like locked chests, but now I think the game is more fun without them. I like to make secret chest rooms that are hard to find and steal enemy faction items 
lmao yeh but you have to get all your stuff stolen because nobody can make a faction untill you get like 100k server was fun at first then it was thumbsdown server need alot of maintenance
You can join a town and get protection also. You don’t /have/ to make one, but if you join one you must pay taxes.
That being seen, I did like Tekkit for about a month while I hosted one for my friends, but after we were in the endgame there wasn’t a reason to continue playing.
The weight of town protection for chest will be subject to change, remember vanilla Minecraft already has the un-loot-able Ender chest.
