Unfair play
Griefing, repeated teamkilling, votekick abuse, etc.
Misuse of trust
Admin abuse of commands, abuse of trusted status, etc
What do we not consider abuse?
Just to be clear, some examples:
Camping
Spawnkilling
Speaking jibberish
as long as it’s not spamming the chat feed it’s fine, really
Getting rid of the abuser
Right, someone is definitely ruining the game. What now, tell me tell me.
Okay. There are a few things you can do to tackle this situation.
Initiate a votekick
Take action in your own hand, not depending on admin activity, but only use it if you’re absolutely certain. Abuse of the votekick will be punished.

How to Votekick: Votekicking command: type directly into the chat.
/votekick [Player] [Reason]
Replace [Player] with either his ID number (explained below) or a fragment of his name. Keep it to 1 word, no spaces.
Replace [Reason] can be any number of words, and is your reason for the votekick. All votekicks must have a reason.
Player ID # for votekicks (especially those who have no name):
Press “TAB”, and you will see a list of players’ names, their ID #, and their score.
For example: You might see “Bobby King #26 15” as one of the lines. “Bobby King” is his name. #26 is is ID. 15 is his score.
Players with no name will show up as a blank space with an ID number in an empty row.
Name method: The name does not need to be his complete in-game name. However, it MUST only be one word.
Syntax: /votekick [Playername] [Reason]
Correct Example: /votekick Bobb Griefing blue tower
Wrong Example: Bobby King Griefing blue tower
However, names can sometimes be ambiguous. Say we have our “Bobby King” already playing nicely, but the someone named “bobby” joins and starts griefing. If you type either of the “correct” formats above, you might accidentally votekick the wrong guy! Thus, we prefer to use…
ID method: Use the player’s ID number. You MUST include the # sign.
Syntax: /votekick [#ID] [Reason]
Correct Example: /votekick #26 Griefing blue tower.
Wrong Example: /votekick 26 Griefing blue tower.
Griefers: If you think you’re onto a griefer, but aren’t too sure, this provides some backup verification.
Check players’ griefing history.
Syntax: /gc [Player] [Duration]
Replace [Duration] with a number, specifying the number of minutes of griefing history you wish to view. You can leave this out, which defaults the check to 2 minutes.
Read the message. If he/she has removed 30+ blocks, from other players, you can be pretty sure that he’s griefing, so votekick the player.
Aimbots: If you’re very sure that someone’s an aimbot, do the following steps.
Try and reach an admin: admins can deal with aimbots with a permanent ban as opposed to a flimsy 30-minute-votekick.
Use the /admin command to shoot a message. Admins might not be around to respond.
[li]Syntax: /admin [Message].
Example: /admin Bobby King (#26) is aimbotting on hallway.[/li]
Get on the #aloha IRC and find one of the ops/voiced people. Type our names exactly and we’ll probably respond.
Accuracy Check.
Syntax: /accuracy [Player]
Example: /accuracy #26
Aimbots often shoot multiple bullets at once, making this go way above 100%. Not good enough as evidence by itself.
If [Player] is unspecified, it checks your own accuracy. See if you can be more accurate with your shots!
Kill-Death Ratio Check.
Syntax: /ratio [Player].
Example: /ratio Bobby
Needless to say, aimbots often have a high KDR. Not evidence, but it just piles on to the suspicion.
If [Player] is unspecified, it checks your own KDR. See if you can improve on your ratio!
Cancelling Votekicks:
We’re human. We all make mistakes:
Maybe that guy you thought was griefing was just fixing his fort.
Maybe the aimbot was just a super-pro player.
In any case, you can cancel a votekick that you have started.
Syntax: /cancel
Example…wait, come on, do we really need one? It’s one word, and only works if a votekick you initiated is currently in progress.
Pay attention to the chat after you start a votekick. Sometimes, the guy you’re kicking, or maybe even other players will notify you that the votekick was wrong.
Cancel the votekick if you realize you made a mistake. Remember: that votekick could be against you, and you’d want someone to cancel an unfair votekick.

While ingame, you can use this to get a certain situation to the admins attention. Be as clear and detailed as possible so that, if admins come, they won’t have to guess the player or situation but can immediately take action:
Type both the name and the id of the person.
For example:
You suspect player Bob with #3 to be using aimbot to enhance his play.
You type: /admin Bob #3 has aimbot
An admin sees this message, enters the game and takes action.
[color=red]A couple of notes:
Since aloha.pk has many servers to watch, it’s always possible the message is not noticed. If you get no reaction or no action is taken, you can repeat your /admin message
Don’t overdo it, give admins the time. Spamming won’t speed things up
If you are aware of the fact an admin is ingame, you can contact him by using /pm. If you want to get rid of the cheater, do NOT announce in global chat that an admin is currently watching. It might change the cheaters behaviour and make him harder to catch
An admin will not trust your word alone and will always checks the situation for himself
If no action is taken you can visit the Discord channel or report on the forum
Do not use this command if there’s no need to. Spamming the /admin command will be considered abuse
You can get in contact with an admin by visiting our Discord channel.
Anyone under the “Staff” section on the right side of Discord will be able to help.
If you’re in need of admin intervention on a certain server just explain the situation as detailed as possible:
Mention at least:
the server name
the player’s name
the player’s ID
the reason why you think admin intervention is required
Important notes:
be complete
admins can’t sniff a server and magically know everything about the universe. Do not only say ‘cheater in babel’, but mention the name, id and reason. You have the info, admins hate to guess, and besides it takes time and you want the situation to be resolved, right?
Do not spam ‘admins? admins? help! admins?’
Don’t ask for attention, just tell why you need admin intervention. It works miracles. Really.
don’t ping/beep all staff-members
Don’t worry, active staff-members will read your message. If they’re afk, pinging them won’t help
be discrete
Don’t reveal the admins presence ingame. If you say an admin is watching it changes the cheaters behaviour making it more difficult to catch him.
be patient
Admins never blindly follow your words. They always will check the situation for himself and judge if intervention is needed. This can take time
respect the admins
Cursing won’t help. Admins are, just like you, players who do this in their free time. We all have our work/study as well and can only be available at certain times
Write the name(s) of the concerned player as subject
Explain in as much detail as possible the situation
This includes: server and date/time
Back it up with as much info as you can: screenshots, videos, accuracy/ratio/griefcheck etc
Do not make use of hacks of any kind to illustrate your point.
We appreciate the fact you want to help, but all hacks are not tolerated. This includes the use of topovl..
If a hack was used in the report, we can and will use it as evidence to ban you as well. You are allowed to use Pubovl
After posting, be patient. Don’t expect the situation to be taken care of immediately. If the matter is really urgent, the best way to report someone is via Discord.
