ban appeals / Re: Reducing time of my mute

I can't confirm any details - sorta walking into this blind.

But, I can say that if you are still supposed to be muted but you are not - a good way to show remorse is to not abuse it. That is, don't continue to do whatever it was that earned you this punishment.

So don't 'shoot yourself in the foot' and cause problems.

crew and friends server / Re: Server Interest?New Map?

A new map is most favorable.

The idea of an original world sticking around forever is a great one, but it's unrealistic in my opinion. Especially with how the world is right now, having gone through several terrain generation changes, massive explorations, and several patches. And over a hundred players have come and gone. It'd be better to start over, for a new generation to explore, build, etc.

Could as you suggest go multiworld and host the old map as a no-touchy spectator only map, but that can hurt performance I am unsure, and it relies on plugins to do.

Just played a game as China, man what an easy game with near infinite manpower!

Hopefully  :)

I haven't tried it, but I'm sure it's a great game too - I'll look into trying it. But, is multiplayer so easy to set up with it?

I know in the past when we ran it off the aloha machine it did not keep up, I could look into updating but it's pretty much as good as it's gonna get optimization wise. It's (supposedly) even better than a vanilla setup...

I'll see what I can do in the following weeks

I only have the base game, and have only ever played singleplayer. The latest patch really made the game good, prior to that I stuck mainly to mods on the steam page.

The only downside is the game is expensive unless you get it on deal. And, yeah it's kinda like risk. It's also very easy to play multiplayer through steam I think - any interest? Could do like a 2-3 hour game at middle-speed I believe

Hearts of iron 4 is a WW2 (and WW1) grand-strategy simulator. That is, take the role of Stalin, Hitler, Roosevelt, Churchill or a hundred different leaders, and create your path to victory in the great wars.

It's pretty easy to get into but pretty difficult to get 'good'. (still working on it!)

Anyways, for those of you who know or want to know more you can post here and I'll answer questions. I'd be down for getting a multiplayer game going with people.
